Ways of Giving

As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.”
I Peter 4:10

Divine Mercy is a community seeking to grow in the light of God’s mercy.  This newly established parish on the east side of St. John’s is working to develop active and dynamic ministries and beautiful and joy-filled liturgies.  We are grateful for your generous support of Divine Mercy Parish.  Bellow  are some ways you can give.

What is Pre-Authorized Giving?

To accomplish the mission entrusted to us by Christ, Divine Mercy Parish depends entirely on the generosity of the our community.  Pre-Authorized Giving allows you to give to your parish intentionally and faithfully through scheduled monthly transfers from your bank account.  On or near the 15th day of each month, you account will be debited in the amount you specify.  These funds are then deposited directly into Divine Mercy Church’s account.

How will Pre-Authorized Giving replace my current giving?

Pre-Authorized Giving is currently available only for your Sunday Offering. This will be transferred electronically.  The Parish will continue to provide you with a box of envelopes for special collections and funds (such as Dues, Food Bank, Flowers and the Cemetery Fund) which are not processed through Pre-Authorized Giving.

How do I calculate my monthly Pre-Authorized giving?

To help determine the amount of your monthly contribution, simply multiply your weekly offering by 52 (Sundays in a year), then divide this annual contribution by 12.

For example: Let’s say I normally make a offering of $10 every Sunday.   $10 x 52 = $520  Then take the total and divide by 12:  $520 / 12 = $43.33  My monthly contribution would amount to $43.33

How can I change or cancel payments?

You can stop or change your Pre-Authorized Giving simply by informing the Parish in writing with a 30 day notice.

Other Ways of Giving

The Collection Basket

During our Sunday Mass, a collection basket is passed through the congregation where monetary offerings are graciously accepted.  These can be both loose, anonymous donations, or in envelopes which are provided by the parish.  If an envelope is registered to the parishioner or includes the giver’s name and address, Divine Mercy will record your donation and will provide a tax receipt in January for the prior years’ gifts.

If you would like a set of envelopes, contact our Parish Office.
