countless saints and faithful throughout history and encouraged by the Church.\u00a0 Pope John Paul II in his encyclical <em>Rosarium Virginis Mariae<\/em>, described the rosary as a prayer that is clearly Marian in character and yet is at heart a Christocentric prayer.\u00a0 In its elements it is scripture-based and has &#8220;all of the depth of the Gospel message in its entirety&#8221; and is different mysteries on Christ and the graces that he has given to the world.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p>The repetition in the Rosary is meant to lead one into restful and contemplative prayer related to each Mystery. The gentle repetition of the words helps us to enter into the silence of our hearts, where Christ&#8217;s spirit dwells. The Rosary can be said privately or with a group.<\/p><p>Here is the basic outline of how to pray the Rosary:\u00a0<\/p><ol><li>Make the Sign of the Cross.<\/li><li>Holding the Crucifix, say the\u00a0<em>Apostles&#8217; Creed<\/em>.<\/li><li>On the first bead, say an\u00a0<em>Our Father<\/em>.<\/li><li>Say one\u00a0<em>Hail Mary\u00a0<\/em>on each of the next three beads.<\/li><li>Say the\u00a0<em>Glory Be<\/em><\/li><li>For each of the five decades, announce the Mystery (perhaps followed by a brief reading from Scripture) then say the\u00a0<em>Our Father<\/em>.<\/li><li>While fingering each of the ten beads of the decade, next say ten Hail Marys while meditating on the Mystery. Then say a\u00a0<em>Glory Be<\/em>.<br \/>(After finishing each decade, some say the following prayer requested by the Blessed Virgin Mary at Fatima<em>)<\/em><\/li><li>After saying the five decades,
