Job Posting:

This is a Canada Summer Jobs placement for Eight (8) weeks (35 hours per week) during summer 2025.

Position Description:

Summer Student

This position is a maintenance assistant with the Roman Catholic Parish of Divine Mercy on Newfoundland Drive.  The duties of this position include general parish maintenance – mowing grass, property cleanup, general cleaning of Church and offices including vacuuming, dusting, mopping floors, cleaning windows, etc.

Qualifications/Skills:

Knowledge of basic building maintenance

Knowledge of and ability to safely use lawn equipment (safety glasses and steel toe boots required), ie – lawn mower, etc.

Ability to work with minimum supervision.

Knowledge of workplace safety would be an asset.

Ability to work as a team player.
